Let Glasgow flourish - the Doulton Fountain, Glasgow Green

Glasgow Green, home to the annual Pipe Band Festival, a wonderful event, is overlooked by the Doultain Fountain, the largest terracotta fountain in the world. The former four dominions of the Empire: Canada, India, Australia and South Africa are depicted on each of its four sides.

An ostrich overlooks a staunch fellow on the side depicting South Africa - Queen Victoria looks over all majestically, as her soldiers stand guard.
